Pablo Collison

I've worked in a Russian Restaurant bar for over a year now. My job revolves around quickly setting up and cleaning tables, explaining items and advising customers on the different foods. I also have to know the daily specials and maintain a friendly environment for customers. Since I turned 18, I now work at the bar, serving drinks and organizing events.

I taught two 10 year old siblings from school, giving them Spanish lessons three times a week for over 2 years. I had to devise activities and games to engage them and be productive. also babysat for them. Additionally, I tutored a fellow classmate in English literature, for around 4 months.

I have always enjoyed MUNs and have participated in 5 different conferences, winning best delegate in the BCNMUN ECOSOC Chamber in 2022. I chaired the BCNMUN the following year, in 2023. Additionally, in my previous school, when I was only 13, I was selected as the youngest representative of SEKMUN to go to a tournament in Thailand, spending a week there. I also participated in Esade (2023) and Hindelrandt (2024) MUNS, frequently giving speeches and making proposals and counter proposals.

• Acció is a governmental institution which encourages foreign investment into Cataluña, they have offices in London, Paris and Singapore. My fluency in English, Spanish and Catalan meant that I was a perfect candidate for the internship. My job consisted of emailing and calling people to explain what Accio was and outline the benefits of investing, if they were interested I connected them with my superiors. I also assorted files and translated documents from the various languages.

I volunteered for a language assistance programe wherein we taught the kids from the local public school English. My partner and I were assigned to help the 5 year old students. We did everything from reading english books to playing football and hockey with them, teaching them terminology and awarding prizes for whoever spoke the most English.
