Victor Castrillo Cardama

I am a creative, determined, and hardworking high school student passionate about computer science. My relationship with computers dates back to my earliest years when no device could part from my grasp. From the first computer tutorials I uploaded to YouTube at the age of 9 to fully programming my own video game, technology has deeply impacted my childhood and adolescence.
As I reflect on the profound impact of technology on my life, I wonder what type of person I would’ve grown up to be without its revolutionary influence. Today, amidst a modern technological revolution, I am eager to explore the endless possibilities within this dynamic field, thriving on challenges that push the boundaries of my knowledge.

BOCCONI SUMMER SCHOOL

During the summer of 2023 I got enrolled on the Bocconi Summer School for High School Students where I attended the programming and economics labs. During my stay in campus I worked and lived alongside students from over 87 nationalities. This completely broadened my perspective on the richness and value of cultural diversity. 

SEKMUN (MODEL UNITED NATIONS)

Took part on a model united nations at UCJC in Madrid where I represented my school for the ECOSOC committee of the United Arab Emirates. From this experience I gained research, teamwork and public speaking skills. In addition, the fact of representing a nation other than mine made me obtain an objective view of today's economic and social issues.

YOUNG BUSSINESS TALENTS

During the course of 2022 I had the unique opportunity to participate in the YBT competition organized by ESIC university. The competition consisted on a business simulator, in which alongside a team of 3, we had to plan, decide, and control specific decisions which affected the results of our made-up company. The simulation lasted for months and my team managed to reach the semi-finals. During this time I gained valuable experience in decision-making as well as analysis and teamwork.

UDEMY JAVA COURSE

Completed Mosh Hamedani's full Java programming course during late 2022. This permitted me to learn a more object-oriented language than python and expand my knowledge in coding concepts such as classes, interfaces, exceptions and others.

VOLUNTEER AT BIOOR

Throughout the years I have been an active member of my school's solidary project against child cancer, contributing with donations and event related work.

FRENCH LANGUAGE COURSE 

In 2018 I attended a three-week intensive french course in Leysin, Switzerland. During my stay I completed multiple team tasks alongside students from all over the globe.
