I led the frontend team in Personio's Document Management team and I was the responsible tech lead (DRI) for the Bulk Document Creation project, which was launched in March 2024. This was a highly anticipated feature that allows users to create and distribute documents at scale with easy to use templates with the ability to request signatures across multiple recipients at once.
After the release, I was moved to the Workflow Creation team.
I led the Frontier frontend enablement team in Adevinta's Global Markets organization, overseeing upskilling and providing support for local marketplaces in LATAM and Europe. Focused on areas such as architecture, performance optimization, and implementing best practices for design systems and token management.
Team Frontier was also leading the Frontend guild in our Barcelona office and was responsible for the interview process for Adevinta's Barcelona and Paris hubs, ensuring the recruitment of top-tier frontend talent.
During my time at Schibsted Media Group (now Adevinta), I held the position of lead frontend engineer in the Messaging Center. In this role, I successfully designed and implemented a plug-and-play widget that seamlessly integrated into various Schibsted sites, facilitating user communication.
Additionally, I took charge of developing a delivery system empowering the Messaging team to deploy specific versions on targeted sites, leading to efficient A/B testing and rapid feature rollouts.
At Skyscanner, I joined the Hotels vertical as part of the frontend squad. One of my significant achievements was overseeing the migration from a legacy stack to a state-of-the-art application. This involved designing the application architecture and implementing best practices, such as integrating code sniffers and mess detectors into our CI pipeline and git hooks.
I proudly presented our migration at the 2015 Barcelona PHP conference in front of a large audience. I actively contributed to the squad's migration to AWS as part of the company's cloud adoption strategy.
Moreover, I served as the Engineering Ambassador, representing Skyscanner at various events and organizing meetups in the office.
During this period, I operated as a part-time freelancer primarily based in the UK, initially to support my startup, StoreBeez.
Following the closure of the startup, I continued freelancing remotely from Bucharest, working with various clients, including my previous employer Vendo S.L., as well as acquiring new customers through recommendations.
Together with three friends, I founded StoreBeez, an e-commerce company based in Bucharest. We were accepted into the Oxygen Accelerator program in Birmingham, UK, where I primarily focused on the technical aspects of the business, including application development, setting up AWS hosting environments, and ensuring platform stability through automated testing. I also had the responsibility of representing the company, giving presentations to mentors and investors, and participating in business-related meetings.
Unfortunately, due to insufficient funding, the company ceased operations.
As a key member of a small development team, I contributed to the creation of a complex,
PCIDSS-compliant payment system. My responsibilities centered around core platform architecture,
security, and maintainability. Additionally, I regularly conducted meetings to present and discuss methods
for enhancing the codebase and ensuring the long-term success of the platform.
At Mediacafe, which served as Yahoo!'s reseller in Romania, I worked as a senior PHP developer. I was
involved in various projects, including coding in PHP and Python, managing web servers, and providing
technical support for ongoing projects.
At Zitec, I worked on several projects using open-source technologies. My responsibilities were centered
around coding but also included client and 3rd party provider communication, time estimation, and
reporting to the team leader and project manager.
Within the New Media Agency (later renamed to Navidoo), the web and digital agency of The Group, I
collaborated on various projects for FMCG clients in the Romanian market. This involved working in
conjunction with other agencies in the holding to provide integrated advertising solutions encompassing
web, print, and BTL elements.
