My entire professional life has been dedicated to the surgical field advice and sales in healthcare business. I´ve had the opportunity to witness the emergence of minimally invasive surgery, from laparoscopy and thoracoscopy to the current robotic and digital era. This has allowed me to expand my knowledge in surgery, operational processes in hospitals and healthcare systems, public-private administrative processes, negotiation and contracting techniques.
I´ve belong to the same company since 1996, which I´ve seen transform several times, shaping and completing my business vision and my experience in the sector: hospitals around Portugal, Spain and many interactions with International customers and colleagues, different OU, department, reporting to 10 managers, in different geographic territories, as well as numerous and diverse clients/users.
All of this has contributed consolidate abilities that I consider to be inherent to my personality, partly due to my personal history, which have facilitated my adaptation always to change and my response to the new with positive and enthusiastic anticipation.
When I first join this amazing start up company I had the chance to build up something from scratch, taking advantage of its flexibility and my knowledge of the company for more that 2 decades. I needed 4 months to have my first trial TSE agreement signed, was our first believer, that first year we´ve got 2 more and the following ones we have always overpassed our numbers and this final FY has been without a doubt, our best, getting 10 new accounts and all our DS1 renewed.
To achieve all this, it´s been necessary to engage and harmonize many departments within the company: first of all SI, extremally busy as they are, they started witnessing this unique positive feedback and customers 'satisfaction, also Iberia Legal, crucial to help shaping my knowledge of our requirements, IHS´ advice and guidance within the Iberia landscape regarding Digital/Cloud appetite, Front Office, Finance, Pricing, Tender dept, Regulatory, Medical Affairs DT and Iberia´s, and of course, local Marketing support to emphasize and visualize our footprint.
I´ve been able to identify and target strong first users that have become true, efficient DT sponsors, helping me spreading the word, and last but not least, with this impeccable help from Iberia Customer Success, preserving our customers 'expectations and warranting their great experience.
Leading, guiding and even inspiring your peers, is not as obvious or natural than having an established reporting line, therefore, I´ve needed strong and motivating skills in order to distract and get to action colleagues from SI and many other departments and BU needed to get this new business started, always growing and keeping our installed base solid and getting bigger
