Following a 30 year police career I retired, aged 51, in 2013. I am now enthusiastic to return to the world of work and take on a new challenge.
My transferrable skills from policing include a high level of driver training; great communicator; excellence in all aspects of work; flexibility to meet changing situations and demands; emphasis on safety; negotiation and de-escalation skills.
I drove professionally in the police and have a clean licence which I have held for 42 years.
I have experience of driving high-end vehicles, having owned a number of Mercedes S class and Porsche.
I was a uniform wearer for a number of years and fully understand the importance both to employer and client of being clean, smart, and carrying a uniform well.
Calm under pressure
undefinedI have not worked since I retired, however I have volunteered extensively in the community both with the Scout Association and as a magistrate (JP) which is a position I still hold.
