My redundancy from Cathay Dragon in October 2020 prematurely curtailed my flying career. This was obviously unavoidable, but during the intervening Covid recovery period I reached my 65th birthday, sadly ending my flying ambitions.
However this opportunity would allow me to continue with another career as a simulator instructor. This was always part of my retirement plan to continue as an instructor, as I always knew retirement would not be complete without some kind of involvement in aviation.
The extra dimension of training has been part of my career since 2001, this extra responsibility although challenging at times brings immense rewards working with like minded professionals, helping them reach their goals and ambitions.
Over the course of my career with British Midland I operated a multitude of aircraft types including Viscounts, ATP, Shorts 360, DC9 10/15, B737 3/4/500.
Operated in both Passenger and cargo configurations to European and UK destinations as scheduled and charter operations.
Operated ex BEA Viscounts flying to European, UK, Channel Islands destinations in Passenger and cargo variations.
