Senior Integration Mechanical Engineer

Aston Martin Lagonda
01.2016 - 01.2019
  • Handled integration and validation of electrical elements like DIM, CID, SHU, 4G antennas.
  • Executed interior modifications to ensure vehicle functionality and client satisfaction
  • Lead the project from Seed (day 1) through M1 vehicles completion
  • Gained knowledge on Legal &Certificate validation tasks and Powertrain communality across car lines, as well as knowledge of lightweight and heat-resistant materials with different inserts
  • Involved in Bill of Process assessment and revising by building in CAD the first Aston's Hyper Car (AML SVO Valkyre)
  • Responsible for the assembly of the whole interior, all exterior parts and suspension onto the Carbon Fiber tub in CAD, to check clearances and tool access
  • Responsible for Powertrain validation and Integration involving a whole new Electrical Architecture (including Engine & ancillaries)
  • Coordinated regular packaging meetings to align efforts of Aston Martin and tier 1 supplier teams

Senior Integration Mechanical Engineer

Jaguar Land Rover
01.2014 - 01.2016
  • Part of the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) Department, where we created bespoke personalization, halo models, and special paint with high specification vehicles that showcase the best of Land Rover, including high-performance derivatives, ultra-luxury products, and limited-run collector editions.
  • Harmonized development of dealer-fit aftermarket parts in BODY & FUNCTIONAL TRIM team
  • Involved in 6 projects at a time, my contribution was CAD 3D modelling, solving challenges of packaging, detecting clashes with the environment, brackets for the parts developed, and mounting instructions.
  • Catia V5 is used on a daily basis to carry out my duties. I was also trained in Catia V6 during my time in the JLR SVO department.
  • IPLM trained with integrated software programs for seamless global access
  • AIMS and AIMS 2 were used almost every day. Siemens PLM and Digital Buck (VIS MockUp) were also some of the tools used there, which helped in the development and integration of my parts.
  • Ensured all data and environments were compliant with ISO standards
  • Conducted L&C compliance checks as necessary, including documentation of cargo barrier tests.
  • Evaluated competitors' solutions continuously to recommend optimal scenarios and materials.
  • Proposed relocation solutions when necessary while maintaining weight and cost efficiency
  • Coordinated with suppliers and department teams impacted by part development
  • Ensuring adherence to deadlines through effective task management

CAD MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Renault and Dacia
01.2012 - 01.2014
  • Responsible for packaging and modeling of electrical wiring harnesses on vehicles using Catia V5 Electrical Workbench, after previously checking the environment, establishing the needs of environment clearance (ISO standards and BOM applied).
  • Proposed ways of repositioning and rounding different parts, using the Part Design module to create brackets, small assemblies, and all the documentation needed to show other departments the reasons for proposing alternative solutions.
  • Technical documentation (2D plans, PowerPoint presentations) was also carried out when it occurred.
  • Attend, assist, and support in all design reviews and virtual builds, representing the electrical department.
  • Organizing electrical harness design/package reviews and proposing solutions to sort out challenges.
  • I was also part of the Powertrain department, looking after and developing sheet metal parts, plastic, and small rubber components and assemblies for GPL OEM integration system.
  • Deformations of pipes, engine movement analysis, sections, measurements, and comparison between parts.
  • Checking for standard clearances and design rules for engines and their components - packaging skills reinforced during my role within this department.
