Affiliations

  • I was given the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona Spain for this academic school year. Throughout my experience abroad I have not only learned about myself and become more in tune with what I want to pursue after I get my Bachelors, but I now have a deeper understanding of the world and the people around me. While abroad, I immersed myself into a completely different culture and lifestyle, education style, and more. I now have a deeper desire to continue to learn as much as I can about the world and grow as a student and professional. My time abroad has enriched my life in social, educational, and professional aspects in immense ways. I am now a more open hearted individual who is eager to form genuine relationships with people from different social backgrounds, but I reached a point of clarity when it comes to knowing what I want to pursue professionally. My time in Barcelona was crucial in figuring out that I am interested in international politics and law. I have known I am going to attend law school after graduation, but I feel much closer to narrowing down the type of law I would like to pursue. Overall, my study abroad experience has been an experience of clarity and curiosity intertwined, and I am becoming a student and professional that values relationships, integrity, and growing as an individual. The amount of personal and professional growth I have experienced this past year while being abroad has been an experience that I will value for the rest of my life.
