Grid Side management using Battery Electric Vehicle's storage potential as power back up for smart home, The battery electric vehicle is used as a potential power back up for smart home using bidirectional charging technology. The model is done by my supervisor and it's developed in Matlab coding. Three different case studies are developed using the model like standard home with BEV just for commute purposes, Smart home with BEV as power back up option like vehicle to home (V2H) and the smart home with BEV for vehicle to grid (V2G). The model is optimized using Reinforcement learning to forecast the electricity cost and consumption from the real time usage data from the past and current week usages. The model is optimized for better smart home energy management system with the optimization techniques like model predictive control method and results are validated with dynamic programming results. Battery characterization at extreme cold and hot temperature conditions, A research experimental setup for testing a cylindrical cell battery pack with 1C charging and discharging. The battery cooling system is used for battery pack is flat rectangular cooling pad where the coolant flows in one corner of the pad and flows out on the diagonal corner of the cooling pad. The test is ran using the LABVIEW software for the model to control the flow of the coolant, temperature of the coolant and the record the temperature changes during the whole test cycle. The different tests are conducted with different temperatures in climatic chambers and the different coolant flow temperatures. Fuel cells for alternative propulsion system with hydrogen for marine vessels, The research study on how to reduce emissions on seaways like marine vessels transportation, Tourist marines and other ways of seaway traffic system. In this study we found out it is possible to replace the internal combustion engines with fuel cell using hydrogen as a fuel for their operations. Based on their operating conditions like the payload, the route distance, the conditions of the route for each vessel are considered. Based on these requirements, the configuration of the fuel cells and their hydrogen capacity is installed. The comparative study is made of different marine vessels and also other propulsion systems which can be additional power sources to the fuel cell system. Development of a Mathematical Model of An Automotive Suspension System, 08/14/2017, 01/10/2018, A Research study on the development of a mathematical model of an automotive suspension system. A mathematical model of a suspension system has developed using the one, four and seven degrees of freedom model. The model is developed using the Matlab/Simulink software and the input values like sprung and unsprung mass, spring stiffness, damping coefficient and the road profile are given as a input and the results are documented. The PID controller has been added to the design and then the model is being fine-tuned using the tuner option in Simulink software for the good quality ride and handling of the vehicle and the results are documented.
