Rotational shifts in the Alvaro Cunqueiro hospital, reference trauma centre of south Galicia. Performing duties of X-ray general technician and CT.

The duties performed are:

• General X-ray examinations.
• Trauma X-ray examinations, including the use of mobile equipment in bedsides examinations.
• Using mobile equipment in operations rooms.
• Perform general CT with and without contrast.
• Perform urgent trauma CT exams.
• Perform urgent trauma MRI in evening-night shifts.

Worked with the team of the Prof. Dr. mult. Michael K. Stehling in the develop of new methods of diagnosis of prostatic cancer with MRI.

In the work I assisted remotely with the protocols of Siemens MRIs, in order to achieve the best performing of the MRIs and ensuring that the new developing protocols would work in the diagnostic field, and also would work in consonance with the new technique developed by the institute using irreversible electropolation, also known as Nanoknife.

Paid training in the new MRI unit installed in the hospital by Phillips. The trained consisted in four parts:

• Receive training from the educator sent by Phillips, in order to achieve the maximum performance of the new MRI unit.
• Receive training from the educator sent by Phillips in order to perform the new available protocols correctly, ensuring the best quality of image.
• Assist the head of radiologist in the training of the staff that could not receive the training from the educator.
• Perform the new protocols, with the assistance of the head of radiologist and another technicians, in order to achieve homogeneity.

Daytime exclusive technologist of the walking in CT of the University Hospital Complex, sited in the city of Ourense.

My duties were:

• Perform all type of CT, with and without contrast.
• Work closely with the radiologists in order to achieve diagnostic accuracy.
• Optimize scan parameters and protocols, following instructions of the head of radiologists.
• Performing the required pediatric CT, working closely with the pediatric radiologists in order to achieve minimum exposure and optimizing the image.
• Perform CT of bariatric patients, ensuring accurate images.
• Utilize tools for image reconstruction in 3D.
• Managing the PACS regarding the CT.
• Assisting radiologist with image-guided biopsies

General Radiologic Technologist in shift rotation involving morning-evening-night.

Performed work in three fields of the work. X-ray, CT and MRI.

In the field of X-ray, I performed all kind of it, including but not limited to: General X-ray, mobile X-ray in ER room, ICU and hospitalization units. Also performed on-demand fluoroscopies when necessary.

In the field of CT, performed regular CT with and without contrast when was my rotation. Also, I performed in the evening-night shifts urgent CT for trauma patients and other kind of emergencies.

In the field of MRI, I performed general non-contrast MRI, and in the evening-night shift MRI for trauma patients as requested.

Paid six month practice in order to achieve the 900 mandatory hours of experience necessary to get the registration in the regulatory body.

The practice get into all the work developed in my field. General X-Ray, fluoroscopy, interventive X-ray, intraoperative X-ray. Non-contrast CT, Contrast-CT, Special Protocols for CT. MRI, contrast-MRI, Special protocols for MRI. Nuclear Medicine with two Gammacamera and a PET-CT.

The work was developed under supervision and evaluation. Achieving a 100% of complain with the European Standard in my evaluation.
