Nelson Cohen Marcano

General pathologist

Doctor graduated from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo Primada of America and specialized in pathological anatomy at the University Hospital of La Coruña in Spain. I currently have 3 years of experience working in all specialties as a pathologist at the Manacor Hospital, except nerology and nephrology. I have a special interest and passion for dermatology and lymphoid patology, but I can do excellent work in any area.

Work Experience

• On average, I review 2100 biopsies per year, with a response time of 4-5 days. I also review an average of 1290 gynecological cytology views and 230 general cytology views, which include pleural fluid, peritoneal fluid, and fine needle aspiration.
• Additionally, I perform 1 to 2 adult autopsies per year and an average of 8 to 10 perinatal ones.
• On average, I perform 15 to 20 punctures in the otorhinolaryngology service.
• Finally, I attend a committee on digestive, pulmonology, gynecology, and thyroid tumors.
