• Carry out rig based audits on well control and associated equipment.
• Carry out audits on maintenance report systems and personnel during rig visits for all department across the entire drilling unit, OIM, DP and Marine, all maintenance departments. covering but not limited to legal documentation, compliances and standard company, policies and procedures.
• Assist rig management, asset management, rig maintenance supervisors and senior subsea engineers onboard with planning BWM and up-grade modifications, ensure MA from OEMs are being integrated and tracked into all relevant equipment/system.
• Ensure all work instructions/WIMS are kept up to date and in line with OEMs recommendation and company policies and procedures.
• During rig visits ensure all equipment is kept maintain as per OEMs and company standards, ensure MOC policy is being used when well control equipment is out of operation or not functioning correctly.
• Ensure planned maintenance is being carried out correctly and corrective work orders are being raised and closed out in a timely manner.
• Prior to running or pulling bop FFS Engineer to be onboard and on the worksite to supervise/help and assist with operations.
• Ensure all bill of materials/ replacement parts for all equipment needed is fit for purpose, inspected and available at the worksite.

• Supervise the correct assembly, operation, maintenance, testing and disconnection of the subsea blowout preventer, marine riser and related equipment.
• Maintain and repair heave compensating equipment.

• Ensure all planned maintenance is up to date and signed off in accordance with the maintenance schedule for all areas of responsibility.
• Ensure all subsea equipment conforms to vessel’s class and applicable API requirements.
• Ensure all modifications, breakdowns, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of subsea equipment has been entered into the Maximo system. Ensure Maximo system equipment details and maintenance procedures are relevant and up to date.
• Ensure the stock levels are adequate for the maintenance of subsea equipment.
• Advise the Senior Subsea Engineer / Subsea Engineer of any impending downtime/ equipment failure.
• Ensure good housekeeping in area of responsibility.
• Calculate ton cycles for tensioner wires (if applicable), implementing and recording slip and cut programme.
• Record riser usage on each well, maintain tension record tracking spreadsheet and identify inspection requirements.

• Be aware of Contract and Re Bills relating to Subsea Equipment.

• Participate in operational meetings.
• Consult with the Senior Subsea Engineer / Subsea Engineer regarding the operations forecast.

• Participate in Pre-Job Safety Meetings incorporating the relevant Risk Assessment for the specific task. Pay particular attention to hand and body placement for all operations involving close proximity to heavy equipment.

• Responsible and accountable for the safety of the personnel working under their direction and shall be expected to conduct operations at all times in full compliance with company procedures.
• Complete a documented end-of-tour handover in line with Handover / Reporting Procedure.

• Employment History: Employed as a Senior Rig Mechanic, until end of 2007 on which I change departments and joined the companies Subsea trainee program, for the 2 deepwater semi’s SSDR L.E. & SSDR E.R. following promotion to subsea engineer; carried out FAT/ commissioning for two of our new 5th gen NXT Bop’s based in Houston, bop installation & SITs carried out in Korea, approx 20 months in shipyard Korea, promoted to the level of section leader subsea for the new drillship Ocean-Rig Mykonos.
