2024.03 - Current
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to conduct comprehensive studies and generate valuable insights.
  • WP Coordinator in the European Project PERSIST.
  • Green City area Coordinator at Ci+IRU (Research and Innovation Centre in Urban Regeneration).

• Organization of Science Fairs in primary Schools and educational institutions.

• Provide support to volunteers to design their own workshop and stand for Science Fairs.

Compilation of information regarding provided workshops and Science Fairs.

• Search for interested schools and institutions.

Project proposal writing and funding application.

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

Wageningen University
2021.03 - 2023.02
  • I conducted research on how to improve extractability of carrot leave proteins in order to establish the basis for a breeding program. With this aim, I studied cell wall composition, ascorbic acid content and phenolic compounds in the leaves and possible interactions with the leave proteins in the extraction process.

• As a side project I prepared a data base of projects related to grain legumes that were carried out in Europe in the last decades, in order to prepare a project proposal

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER

KeyGene
2020.03 - 2020.09

Extension of the Marie Curie project.

MARIE CURIE INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIP

KeyGene
2018.03 - 2020.02

I wrote and independently carried out my own research project. I introgressed apomixis genes into sexual species of Taraxacum koksaghyz and developed an experiment to showcase how introgressed genes generated stable lines in time. I also worked with the production of Taraxacum in self-built hydroponic systems to increase biomass, rubber and inulin production. I studied the influence of light recipes and stresses such as salinity and draught in their production.

• Generated more than 100 new apomictic lines of rubber dandelions.

• Developed a technique to visually detect the new apomicts.

• Performed an experiment on interspecific pollen tube competition.

• Built and tested 4 hydroponic systems for Taraxacum production.

Created a special pot to grow plants hydroponically from seeds.

• Participated in national and international conferences.

• Wrote a high impact paper that has been read more than 250.000 times.

• Participated in numerous renoun outreach events such as "Science is Wonderful" and the "Researchers Night".

EXTERNAL CONSULTANT

AamadArchi
2017.01 - 2019.12

Mentored a team of young entrepreneurs on the writing of their project proposals for national projects.

RESEARCH MANAGER

AamadArchi
2016.10 - 2017.01

•I led a research team in the preparation of a proposal for a Horizon 2020 call.

• I Helped building the international consortium.

PREDOCTORAL FELLOW

Neiker Tecnalia
2008.05 - 2012.09

I defended my doctoral thesis in the framework of a European Project. Title: " Taraxacum koksaghyz Rodin as an alternative source of natural rubber and inulin; agronomic advances and genetic linkage map".

• Collaborated with and co-authored papers with two teams of the European project.

• Represented my team in the midterm project meeting.

• Helped organizing the project meeting in our institution.

• Wrote 3 papers as main and corresponding author and other as second author.

PREDOCTORAL FELLOW

INIA (National Institute Of Agrarian Research)
2002.03 - 2006.02

I got a predoctoral national fellowship in order to study the "Agronomy of Vicia narbonensis and its antinutritional factors". Unfortunately, due to a lack of equipment in the lab I couldn't finish my thesis. Performed 3 national short stays in Spain and a long international stay in Australia (I established the collaborations myself).

• Out of the research stays I wrote 1 paper, an article for a proceedings book and a dissemination article (all as main author).

• I worked with farmers, lead teams of field workers and participated in all parts of field work.
