Work History

Retail and stock manager

Wimbledon Tennis - aeltc
london
07.2023 - 07.2025
  • During my two years spent at the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club, I received two promotions, moving me from retail and stock assistant to retail and stock manager. This created a diverse role for me, where I worked on both sides of the day-to-day routines.
  • During the Wimbledon tournament and the months leading up to it, my role as manager is amplified, where I lead a team of 15 people.
  • Part of my role was managing inventory levels to ensure product availability, and minimize stockouts.
  • I also coordinate stock replenishments from stockrooms to the shop floor to ensure a steady rate of sales and to ensure good customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Leading a team of 15 people meant I had to rely on my communication skills to solve interpersonal issues during highly stressful periods of business.
  • Due to Wimbledon having a high rate of staff turnover each year, part of my role was training and preparing new staff on using equipment such as pallet trucks. I also trained new staff on the most efficient ways to utilize our inventory systems.

Bartender

  • During my two and a bit years at Grasshoppers, I spent around a year and a half as a bar back. this role was quite diverse :- I was tasked with both setting and clearing tables for large reservations whilst also ensuring we had the resources needed behind the bar to serve our other customers.
  • Another priority was often helping to maintain cleanliness and organization of both the bar and the kitchen.
  • Collaborated with kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.
  • I provided excellent customer service to enhance guest experiences, as our events ranged from local rugby games to wedding parties.
  • Sale and preparation of alcoholic drinks. I am confident in pouring different types of beer, as well as pouring singles and doubles using the correct measuring apparatus.
  • I've monitored customers' level of intoxication, and when needed, I have reported them to my manager to let them assess the situation.
  • I am confident in using PDQ machines to take payments and have used a variety of different till machine systems.
  • I performed both opening and closing shifts, so I am aware of and used to the different routines, including daily restocking and cleaning.
