My name is Ksenija Kozevnikova. I was born on May 20, 1983. I live for two years in Tenerife with my husband and two children age 8 and 12.
After becoming financially independent I decided to change my career that felt more meaningful to me. I finished 3-6 course in St.Petesburg, Russia. And then worked in the classroom first as assistant and then as the teacher. However then I got married and had my first child. After a year I started to work as assistant in the toddler classroom and realized the lack of education of this age. For this reason I went to Denver to get my AMI AtoI Diploma as I had dreamed. This was a life changing experience. Due to health problems of my son I had to stay at home with him and leave my career for later. Then I had my second child. And dedicated myself to the family.
I realized that Montessori is a great approach however some practical advice on discipline and social aspect was missing. For this reason I took the RIE foundation course.
I have been thinking of renewing my career path. Taking into consideration that my son has autism in the light form and my husband is a seaman I need to be present quite a lot in the family. Nevertheless I am open to different ideas how to engage with my career. I think now it is more possible because both children go to school. I am passionate about parent education, am a member of different parenting platforms, and love to help children and their caregivers grow.
