Looking for the post of Executive Director / Academic Director/ Director Principal.
As the Academic Director at SB Ed Trust, Beed,
my responsibilities are wide and varied. Major highlights are:
1. Academic Administration
(a) The successful implementation of Academic strategy, taking leadership and giving advice and support to the Academic headed by Principals
(b) Close monitoring of Teaching Learning Process with adequate intervention to ensure the learning experiences and Outcomes to the learners.
(c) Ensuring appropriate planning of Institutional Events which are organized and its successful completion.
(d) Assisting in timely procurement of stores for the school coordinating with Finance.
(e) Maintaining cordial relationship with all stake holders of school community especially, students, parents and staff.
2. School Administration
(a) Guiding the Admin staff on various school admin aspects which includes
(i) School correspondence In/OUT Registers and Routines
(ii) Transfer Certificates
(iii) Fee collections
(iv) Transport Matters
(v) Ordering, procurement and distribution process of school kits/uniforms etc.
3. Staff Recruitments & other HR functions
(a) Coordinating with relevant stake holders and ensuring timely clearance of staff vacancies, with appropriate resource management strategies.
(b) Monitoring the staff appraisals, staff contracts and staff facilities.
4. School Branding and Admission Campaigns
(a) Monitoring and guiding on social media uploads and school website maintenance.
(b) Guiding in the school Admission process with appropriate Action Plan, targeting increased enrolment and least withdrawals
(c) Data collection, identifying feeder locations and feeder schools.
(d) Ensuring a Well-structured friendly and informative Enquiry Desk Team and Admission Process highlighting the wow of the school.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES CARRIED OUT IN
THE PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENTS
• Preparation of strategic plan for the school assigned in liaison with the School Board and other stake holders.
• Organizing teaching/learning activities according to the policies of the Ministry of Education and the school curriculum.
• Promote high standards and expectations for all staff for academic performance and responsibility for behaviour, continuously improving their knowledge of emergent careers, roadmap to school vision, its implementation, sanctity, knowledge sources and leverage.
• Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values and goals of the school including instructional programs, extra-curricular activities, and discipline systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate, building maintenance, program evaluation, personnel management, office operations, and emergency procedures.
• Enhancement of Personnel Skills providing activities which facilitate the professional growth of the school staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program.
• Establishes Formal Work Relationships and evaluates student progress in the instructional program by means that include the maintaining of up-to-date student data.
• Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes (teaching, as duties allow) on a regular basis to encourage the use of a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning and child growth and development.
• Establish a professional rapport with students and with staff that has their respect. Display the highest ethical and professional behaviour and standards when working with students, parents and school personnel.
• Serve as a role model for students, dressing, demonstrating the importance and relevance of learning, accepting responsibility, and demonstrating pride in the education profession. Encourage all educators to do the same.
• Ensure appropriate and timely actions to ensure all school catchment areas are tapped and admissions targets are achieved.
• Communicates and carries out established policies, delegates and accepts responsibility for completion of tasks and communicates program goals, objectives and policies to the community and comply to the format and the frequency.
• Responsible for thoughtful arrangements to ensure proper asset register, daily cash register, theft prevention, physical safety and security of staff and children on the school premises and on the buses, and on any external venue where children go on an event arranged by the school
• Chair the School PTA
• Set Goals and priorities; Analyze Target versus achievements
• Periodic Review with School Senior Management team and guiding in new initiatives and corrective steps.
• Budgeting and economizing expenditure.
• Be the school Leader.
• Responsible for whole school administration Coordinating with external offices, (CAIE, specially related with affiliation, registration and renewal and external examinations.
• Structuring and delegating jobs (teaching learning process) to members of staff.
• Curriculum Revision compliance and overseeing the work of text book committees/ School Uniform Committees and approving the required amends in consultation with Management.
• Ensuring appropriate structures for statutory compliance on Child Protection, work place abuses, prejudice and discrimination.
• Staff recruitment, training, and yearly appraisals Structuring appropriate admission process and procedures.
• Guiding and advising Management on the matters of Physical Infra structure, school stores and financial commitments and developing a prudent spending policy.
• Structuring appropriate residential campus Policy
• Coordinating with school administrator, finance in charge, transport in charge, Medical in charge and other auxiliary service in charges to ensure smooth provision of service in the campus.
