Ken Flynn

For over 35 years I have lived outside of Ireland working in numerous countries with various clubs, federations, academies and international schools. Originally from Dublin I followed my dreams after school and moved abroad to pursue a career in professional Squash. Because of my travels I have gained a lot of experience working with children, teenagers and adults as a Head Coach, National Coach, Director of Coaching, Department Head and P.E. Teacher.

Because I have been abroad for the majority of my career, the current squash community/generation in Ireland generally are not aware of my work experience or achievements. My resume attached is detailed and will inform the selection committee clearly about my suitability.

The experience I gained is broad, initially competing as a professional player and athlete on the ISPA/PSA/ISDA world squash tours to later running large active programs as a Director of Coaching, National Coach, Department Head, Club Professional and P.E. teacher.

More recently between 2018-2021, I was DOC of the Rotterdam Squash Academy and between 2021-2022, I was DOC of the NL Squash Academy for elite youth of the Netherlands before departing to Saudi Arabia for a work opportunity. In addition during the same period I was also the National Coach of the Netherland's Senior Men's Team.

Between 2022 - 2024 I was the National Coach of the Senior Irish Women's Team and we were crowned Div3 Team Championship at Euro's 2024.

My work experiences and jobs which included, development of player pathway's, mentoring ambitious and talented player's combined with my organizational skills, leadership qualities, positive attitude and passion for squash show I would be an asset to any federation, organization, academy, school, or club.

I am a dedicated teaching professional with 35+ years experience at an advanced level developing pathway's and strategies to help athletes achieve their goals. I've had a lot of success at mentoring player's, instilling confidence, and achieving results through hard work, knowledge, experience and motivation.
