• Pilotage des installations, maintenance et dépannage de systèmes satellitaires multi-bandes (C, Ku, L) pour Intelsat, Sita, O3b, Marlink et GTT, incluant :
• - Émetteurs-récepteurs, antennes fixes/portables (1.2m à 9m), LNA, HPA, SSPA et BUC
• - Terminaux de communication et équipements associés
• - Coordination avec l'UNGSC et le siège de l'ONU pour la planification des fréquences et les déploiements initiaux
• - Formation de 50+ site vsat a travers différentes villes de la Centrafrique et sur les terminaux portables (starlink , thuraya et began) et optimisation des réseaux voix/données
• Communications par Faisceau Hertzien
• - Conception et déploiement de réseaux faisceaux hertzien (ECLIPSE, APRISA SE/XE, WIMAX, CAMBIUM networks (ptp et pmp) Radwin (pmp), Ericsson PTP) Ubiquiti network(ptp,pmp):
• - Calculs du bilan de liaison radio, analyse des profils de trajet et planification des fréquences
• - Installation d'équipements de faisceau hertzien et Equipement auxiliaires : systèmes solaires, onduleurs, convertisseurs, mise a la terre, protections anti-foudres
• - Maintenance préventive/corrective des tours, abris, antennes et systèmes d'alimentation
• - Réalisation d'études de faisabilité et de redéploiement, incluant préparation de sites et relevés topographiques
• - Gestion Technique & Logistique
• - Supervision des inventaires de réception et gestion du matériel et coordination avec l'unité de gestion des actifs
• - Optimisation des stocks de pièces de rechange pour réduire les temps d'arrêt de plus 40%
• - Déplacements opérationnels sur 33 sites.

Satellite
 Coordinating the Installation, operation and maintenance of C-band, Ku-band, L-band satellite
transceivers, LNA, High power satellite amplifier (HPA and SSPA). Comprising parabolic
antenna up to 9 m as main backbone infrastructure to support voice and data communication
in the mission area.
 lead the commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of fix and portable satellite dishes
and related satellite communication terminal from providers (Intelsat) with associated
IDU/ODU (Comtech modems, up and down convertors, LNAs, LNBs, BUC, transceivers
etc…).
 Coordinates the installation of satellite antennas, ODE/IDE, associated shelters, foundations,
commissions, maintenance and operation of C-band, X-band, and Ku-band satellite
communications systems, comprising antennas in sizes up to nine (9) meters, satellite modems,
satellite transceivers, LNA, High Power Satellite Amplifiers (HPA and SSPA).
 Supervises the commissioning, maintenance, and the training of end users for portable satellite
communication terminals.
 Liaises with UN Headquarters and UNGSC regarding initial installations, including frequency
coordination.
Microwave
 Take the lead in the preparation and installation of microwave radio systems and related
equipment such as ECLIPSE, APRISA SE/XE WIMAX.
 Supervise the setup, configuration and testing of various digital microwave radio systems
utilizing a wide range of specialized and complex test equipment.
 Coordinate the programming, bench testing, and commissioning of new equipment prior to
deployment.
 Coordinate radio-link calculation and path profile analysis.
 Liaise with the Rigging unit regarding the deployment of relevant antennas and feeder lines
on communications towers and masts.
 Installed various size of microwave antennas (0.6 up to 1.8 m), and all related IDU/IDU with
related power supply including backup power systems.
Video-teleconferencing
 Lead the installation, operation, and maintenance of video-teleconferencing (VTC) equipment
and systems.
 Liaise with the other units in the development of videoconferencing applications.
 Coordinate activities associated with VTC services provision for the mission, liaising with
UN Headquarters and UNGSC.
 Coordinate the periodic and preventive maintenance of all VTC-related equipment.
Auxiliary task
 Take the lead in the installation of auxiliary equipment such as power supplies, solar power
systems, UPS units, Voltage Regulators, DC converters and various protection and remotecontrol
systems.
 Supervise the gathering of specifications for the procurement of equipment, spares, and
supplies.
 Ensure that all the required spare parts and supplies are in place to minimize downtimes.
 Coordinate regularly scheduled and preventative and corrective maintenance on
telecommunications installations and equipment.
 Liaise with the asset management unit regarding the upkeep of proper inventory records.
 Organize with the Asset Management Unit the receiving/inspection of new equipment.
 Take the lead in formulating technical training curriculum and the conduct of in-house training
programs for national staff and others within the unit.
