I studied Medicine and Surgery at the Universidad Internacional del Ecuador. Subsequently, I completed my residency in Pediatrics at the Hospital Universitario La Paz in Madrid, specializing in Pediatric Nutrition and Metabolic Disorders. In addition, I have received additional training in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Nutrition at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States, as well as training in Pediatric Dysphagia at the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona.
Currently, I am dedicated to the body composition assessment of pediatric patients. I perform morphofunctional assessment involving muscular ultrasound and dynamometry, as well as methods for the early detection and evaluation of malnutrition related to illness in children.
We provide specialized nutrition support to patients with external feeding devices and eating behavior disorders on a daily basis. Our team benefits from dedicated dietitians-nutritionists who offer personalized interventions, especially for those with metabolic diseases, renal disorders, or inflammatory bowel disease. We ensure comprehensive care for individuals relying on external feeding devices, optimizing their nutritional well-being. In cases of eating behavior disorders, we adopt a holistic approach, collaborating with experts to develop effective strategies. The expertise of our team extends beyond routine care, aiming to enhance the quality of life for each patient by addressing their specific nutritional needs with compassion.
