As an International Baccalaureate student, I have developed knowledge and skills in many different subjects, especially in mathematics, computer science and physics, my higher level subjects, as well as business studies, english and french, my standard level subjects. Working with 6 of these subjects, as well as studying Theory of Knowledge, writing an Extended Essay, and having engaged in CAS, has fostered great organizational skills and an amazing work ethic and it has greatly developed core values such as curiosity, creativity and commitment. Further, I am able to speak 4 languages: Spanish, English, French and Chinese. This allows me to be more versatile with my communication skills and expose myself to different cultures, making me a well rounded individual.
Regarding computational skills, I am skilled in both Python and Java. I worked with Python during my iGCSEs and in extracurricular courses in the renowned university ICAI, which served as an introduction to the world of programming. In IB I worked with Java, a more complex programming language, which allowed me to greatly develop my programming skills and computational thinking. With Java, I developed a functional calorie tracking fitness app for my Computer Science internal assessment. This greatly improved my skills and introduced me to the world of software engineering.
As a result of working in volunteering programs, it allows me to offer positive attitude and strong interpersonal abilities, and be ready to learn and grow in collaborative environment. It brings foundational understanding of community service principles and ability to assist in event planning and execution. I am ready to use and develop organizational and problem-solving skills in computer science and software engineering.
