• Co-designing and executing of supply strategies & operational objectives for Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Italy ('22 & '23) for domestic and international runs for each program type available in Italian region (Air, Road, Intermodal/Rail, Sea). Defining expected: program access thresholds, market share limits, carrier attributes and characteristics.
• Managing of supply base: Managing portfolio of +20 carriers responsible for total of 93mln € business revenue (85mln € base cost) and 127k € yearly domestic and international trips, resulting in more than 40% of total IT origin trips (2022) across all program types (Air, Road, Rail & Intermodal).
• Carrier relationship management: Developing and retaining solid business relationships with carriers by means of daily “touch base” and weekly connections. Developing carriers strategy for each individual carrier, tracing progress using performance scorecards and metrics comparison. Supporting carriers with operational issues.
• Continuous optimization of Italian volume flows, costs and capacity through periodical terms re-negotiations. Managing carriers claims, (re)negotiating: rates, lanes and carriers contracts for domestic and international runs.
• Special events sourcing: Sourcing of capacity for planned temporal peak events to fulfill consumer demands (Spring Early Sales, PEAK & Prime Weeks) with multi-fold increase in capacity requirements vs. usual business needs.
• Preparing and conducting regular (annual, quarterly & monthly) business reviews with leadership and external parties. Maintaining accurate reporting on key metrics of Italian market.
• Promoting collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure high standard service and smooth running of carrier related operations throughout the year.

Achievements:

• I've contributed to setting up of first (Amazon Europe) International (IT->DE) electric vehicle outbound volume via Rail modality. Expected Annual savings of 1mln € and 15mln delivered parcels yearly (2023).
• Reached total cost saving of 1.7mln € on Italian 3P lanes via weekly price re-negotiation throughout 2022, exceeding expectations by 200k €.
• I've identified list of IT lanes which, while being in price target still had above average rates with potential for further cost reduction. My direct one-time renegotiation with carriers provided 154k € savings (2022).
• In a close collaboration with Loss & Prevention team I've helped reducing theft losses in Italy by 78% (Q2'22: 3.1mln €, Q3'22: 0.7mln €) for 2022. This was achieved by piloting use of trusted partners, special equipment type and smart locks. I've cherry-picked, re-onboarded, supplied and supervised 9 trusted carriers which on week 13 I've deployed on 21 critical lanes. By the end of the year this collaboration performed 4.3k runs enabling loss avoidance of 2.9mln € (2022).
• A.M. program shutdown caused volume shift to 3P generating +50% volume increase need (+6.5k trips monthly). I've coordinated successful sourcing of this increase while maintaining Italy as the only PAN EU country in green for Rejections and Late Rejections across all 4 quarters (2022).
• Despite A.M. program shutdown in Italy I've managed to increase by 241% amount of kms run with alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) to 2.9mln kms in 2022 vs 2021 (0.7mln kms). 20 AFVs have been added to IT carrier pool.

• Leading team of 5 Carrier Operations Specialists. Setting of daily direction for team efforts by assigning tasks to team and coordinating their cross-departmental collaboration.
• Facilitated onboarding sessions and on-the-job training for new hires bolstering position knowledge and skillset. Implemented individual and group performance revision and evaluation
• Leading daily country performance review meeting with cross-functional & cross-departmental teams. Simplification of processes and increase of efficiency of Carriers Specs through automation and periodical revision of value-adding tasks
• Analysis of Italian market and identification of performance trends. Spearheaded continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational excellence for On-Time-Positioning/Arrival of carriers.

• Performance management and development of the biggest Italian and Polish transportation carriers in Amazon Network (above 2k loads weekly). Performance analysis & daily performance reviews, revision of implemented structural Action Plans
• European single point for contact for performance for Amazon-Air Program. Performing weekly Air Network root-cause analysis. PAN EU collaborations with Carrier Managers, Site Managers and Network Managers aimed at eradication of recurrent issues.
