I am an Italian student and I recently graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Trento, Italy. From September to December 2023, I spent a thesis research period abroad, in Bilbao, at the public University of the Basque Country. Given my strong interest in bio-law topics, I chose to write my Master's thesis on CRISPRCas9 gene editing technology and the prospects and implications of its use, especially for the treatment of hereditary genetic diseases. The new frontiers of science and research, in fact, remain to this day without unambiguous regulation at European and world level, my work seeks to highlight how action can be taken to provide, as soon as possible, legal instruments capable of responding to the new demands of scientific progress without hindering its continued advancement. Another great interest of mine concerns the regulation of new technologies and especially artificial intelligence, in the field of health care.
In the course of my studies I had the opportunity to undertake internships at several law firms, the most recent of which, the international law firm Hogan Lovells, one of the world's top law firms advising on corporate, finance, litigation, regulatory and IP law, at the intersection of business and government. I did a multidisciplinary curricular internship at its Milan office in January and February 2023.
As I have always been sensitive to social issues and tried to practice active citizenship, I have always dedicated myself to various volunteer activities, both in Italy, where I collaborated with the Sant'Egidio community in Trento from September 2022 to July 2023, and in Spain, where since September 2023 I have been collaborating with the ADSIS foundation, giving Spanish classes to young migrants who are new to this language.
In my education I have acquired and developed excellent communication skills. I am particularly able to relate to people of different nationalities and cultures thanks to my ability to speak four languages fluently and, above all, to the experience gained abroad in the many study trips I took part in during my high school years, the Erasmus+ experience in Lisbon and my most recent stay in Bilbao.
I am also able to use excellent and precise legal language and to express myself clearly, both in oral and written form.
