For the last school term in Verdruna Sagrats Cors of Torelló (Primary and Secondary) in Spain, I have been volunteering as an english speaker at the school through a 12 week TEFL internship program. With secondary students, I have managed my classes, organised my own lessons and catered to the students levels of english through activities to improve their english speaking every week. With the primary students, I have been assisting the teachers in-class with their english speaking lessons.

Working as an Assistant Store Manager for a year gave me responsibilities that furthered my understanding in how to operate a business. As Assistant Store Manager, my job was to overview the day to day operations of Hillbilly's Family Restaurant. I completed opening and closing procedures each day, maintained good working relationships between staff members and provided excellent customer care. I oversaw daily store cleaning and general store maintenance to keep high company standards. I recorded daily and weekly sales results and was in charge of restocking inventory.
For the last decade I have been a part of the catering team for a showjumping trial event that takes place in Cork, Ireland. These events are organised twice every year and last a week long with guests of almost 200 in quantity. I would prepare tables for the guests and serve meals and drinks with professionalism. I also calculated charges, issued bills and collected payments. This has granted me the experience of the catering environment for a long period of time.
Working in the food catering environment over the years has taught me valuable skills. When working in at times a pressurised environment, having to deal with customers and communicate efficiently with other staff members has taught me a focus on work efficiency
For a few months, I was a staff member working part-time in a hotel during college. For this line of work I also worked for a few wedding events.
Volunteering for the Five Lamps Arts Festival had many roles that required much responsibility. This included ticket vendor, usher at theatre performances, art gallery installation and managing payments for artists. I was also a photographer for the events.
