Summary
I want to study Law and International Relations because I'm fascinated by how legal systems I enjoy debating complex issues and building persuasive arguments including the ones I don't personally agree with. I'm a confident speaker, and I'm at my best when I'm advocating for a position explaining an idea clearly, reading a room, and adjusting how I make my case depending on who I'm talking to. Taking part in Model UN at my previous school in Andorra gave me a real taste of that: representing a country's position, negotiating with other delegates, and having to defend a case in front of a room. It showed me how much persuasive communication depends on listening as well as speaking, and I want to keep developing that. This course would let me sharpen those skills while getting a deeper understanding of justice, power, diplomacy and how states relate to one another.
