I'm Claudia, a proactive student with interest in the biomolecular field of study.
Over the past few years, I have been actively growing and preparing for my future endeavors. Concurrently, I've had the opportunity to gain a broader perspective on life by travelling internationally with my family and friends. My summers have been enriched by attending international summer schools where I've enthusiastically learned new languages and engaged in an exchange program with my friend Skye, from England. These experiences have significantly broadened my worldwide and enhanced my understanding of diverse cultures.
Gradually, I've been refining my ambitions for the future, especially throughout my university journey. I've realized that being immersed in an international setting fuels my personal growth the most.
Simultaneously, my fascination lies in the biomolecular world, but I'm drawn to it through the lens of innovative technologies. My ambition is to contribute as a future researcher, aiding society in overcoming diseases by pioneering new pharmacological and medical treatments.
Ever since discovering about the BSc of Nanobiology at TU Delft, I've been passionately searching deeper into what it means to be a nanobiologist. I'm captivated by this program's introduction of the potential fusion of physics and mathematics in addition to new technologies, and it has deeply positively affected the view I have of my dream as a scientist.
That's why I have been travelling to Delft and Rotterdam from time to time. The first time was in 2021 for a campus tour. Then, during the summer of 2022, I seized the chance to spend a day with Anna, a Nb Student Ambassador. We had an incredible conversation about her experiences, and I shared my own expectations as a prospective university student. Last October I participated in an online introduction to studying nanobiology. Following that, in November, I headed to Rotterdam to immerse myself in the Nanobiology Open Day at the EMC.
These experiences have been invaluable in shaping my understanding and anticipation for what's to come in my academic journey.
This past fall I have been living in Rotterdam. During my stay have been focused on retaking and successfully passing both my IB math exam and the Boswell Beta physics exam.
Additionally, over the upcoming months leading to my enrollment in university next fall, I'll be living in Munich, Germany. During this time, I'll be attending an international school with the goal of improving my proficiency in the German language, as well as gaining a perspective on my future years as an international student.
At the moment I am looking forward to joining TU Delft in the fall!
