Attending and Research physician in Genito Urinary Medicine and HIV service at Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol and Foundation " Lucha contra las Infecciones".

- Working autonomously and with empathy as a part of a risk reduction service ( assisted venipuncture room) designed for people who consume psychoactive substancies.

- Assist with venipuncture , delivering injecting parafernalia , clean injecting materials for safe and hygienic injecting.

- Basic care of abscesses and superficial wounds .

- Rapid HIV and Hep C testing .

- Overdose prevention: distribution of Naloxone to the people who consume substancies.

- Emergency interventions in case of overdose.

- Attention to sanitary demands and referral to appropriate services.

• To provide evidence based advice, information and education to patients diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, Herpes Simplex Virus, HIV, pelvic inflammatory disease, mycoplasma, Human Papillomavirus, Viral Hepatitis A,B and C and Lymphogranuloma venereum.
• To provide expert partner notification in order to prevent the onward spread of STI's through referral methods.
• To provide pre and post HIV test discussion and initial assessment and referral to specific services for patients that test HIV positive.
• To see clients in a sexual health setting for time limited 1:1 work specifically around risk reduction and behaviour change.
• To provide initial assessment, advice and appropriate referral for specific groups of patients e.g. patients under 16 years, adults with sexual health associated concerns, sexual assault, domestic violence, sexual violence, termination of pregnancy, sexual identity, relationship and psychosexual issues, recent exposure to HIV, individuals wishing to access PEP/PrEP and emergency contraception.
• To provide specialist sexual health training to health professionals and relevant services in the local community.
• Working therapeutically with Young people, Adults and their families with complex mental health needs such as depression, self-harm behaviour and suicidal risk.
• To ensure patients are follow up/recalled adequately if they need to re-attend for results, treatment or counselling by letter, phone, or home visit, or through GP, school nurse or other means.
• To interpret laboratory test results and contacting patients who are diagnosed with an STI , give initial diagnosis and book treatment procedures.
• To ensure all disclosures of domestic violence, sexual violence and assault and exploitation are managed appropriately, ensuring individual are assessed and supported with referral to local statutory agencies as per local and national guidance.
• To perform phlebotomy and collect swabs and samples from patients.
• Liaise with wider hospital teams, A&E department , the laboratory , GP surgeries, Sexual Assault Referral Centres, the Police and other Genitourinary clinics .

• Work as part of a detached outreach team identifying vulnerable and intoxicated people in need of support, and offering support and intervention, using Safe Space, Police and the Ambulance service.

• To refer and alert the Lead worker and wider team of any potential safeguarding risks or concerns. 
• Offer Crisis intervention to  distressed clients or clients with suicidal ideation. 

• To plan and undertake sexual health promotion and HIV prevention to men who have sex with men at appropriate locations, including the THT Brighton Office, local Genitourinary Clinic, public health environment sites, gay venues and online. 
• Work as a part of the team to plan and deliver health promotion projects, health improvement events and targeted community based HIV & STI's clinical testing initiatives across all THT's priority groups. 
• Assist with the delivery & development of Internet based and local network interventions as required by the requirements of THT's local service level agreement and delivery of national HIV prevention programme. 
• Assist with the appropriate distribution of relevant resources, including condoms and campaign materials.

• To seek out and approach new community groups as planned with the Breast Health Promotion to offer workshops.
• Deliver breast awareness workshops , a minimum 4 workshops per year.
