Directed HR and Workplace teams across four companies in Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands
Managed redundancy procedure in Spain (ERE), relations with the work council, ERP implementation for 200 employees, set up of payroll process across five companies (150 employees), monitoring of results of climate surveys, set up of hiring and onboarding processes.
Collaborated with stakeholders from R&D, Operations, and HR across Spain, Sweden, and the UK. Offered guidance on various HR topics, such as PIPs, grievance policies, terminations, workforce planning, and underperformance.
D&I and wellbeing projects: definition of the hybrid onboarding program and its roll-out, drafting and negotiation of the Equality Plan (Spain), drafting of a bullying protocol and anti-bullying awareness campaign, leadership of the Wellbeing working group (brainstorming, creation of communications, and monthly newsletter).
HR processes and policies: ensure policies, processes, and procedures are implemented to the required standard across the business (disciplinary policies, performance and salary review cycles, onboarding and offboarding processes and best practices, competencies framework, succession planning).
Employee engagement: create and implement action plans for a positive impact after the employee engagement survey. Employee value proposition handled in collaboration with CoEs and stakeholders (benefits and rewards philosophy, new ways of hybrid working, diversity and inclusion manifesto, corporate values, and coordinated actions for wellbeing).
Acted as primary contact for Spanish HR duties. After the first year, having established trusting and very positive relationships with the business, I began to act informally as the HRBP.
Main responsibilities: full management of the Spanish payroll and personal administration management (new contracts, overtime, annual leave, sabbaticals, sick leaves, parental leaves); support to managers and employees with all processes and procedures (onboarding, offboarding, involuntary terminations, exit interviews, parental leaves); recruitment of internal candidates (sourcing, interviewing, and decision making with hiring managers); compensation and benefits management (EAP management, benefits management, and review of portfolio of benefits); support with salary benchmarking; HR reporting (headcount plans and reporting to C-level).
