Last year I took part in a online Chess Tournament, organized by my school, British School Malaga. At first I was hesitant, since I had few chess background. However my friend, who was professional at chess, insisted on my participation. Months before the tournament, I started to dig deeper in the world of chess. I was able to use my analysis skills to think one or even two moves ahead, which sometimes led to my victory. I was a quick learner, and even evaluated my own strategy. However, I probably wouldn't be able to achieve those heights without my friends, who also took part in the competition. We exchanged knowledge, shared videos of games played. Unlike the popular belief, chess isn't always about playing alone. This tournament was among teams, so we used our cooperation to our benefit, resulting in our team getting 2nd place in Iberia. This experience helped me to improve analytical and problem solving skills, as well as teamwork and cooperation.
