  • Manage the production of bi-block concrete sleepers for the upgrade of the Transgabonais railway. This includes the fabrication of the steel frames, production of concrete and the production of the concrete sleepers using two production lines and the entire maintenance of the plant and equipment.
  • Manage the supply of bi-block concrete sleepers and rail hardware to the team responsible for the replacement of the wooden sleepers with the concrete sleepers.
  • Manage the replacement of wooden sleepers on the Transgabonais railway with bi-block concrete sleepers using SMD80 (Mechanical sleepers replacement). The work train comprises of two locomotives, passenger cars, wagons with spares for the SMD80, wagons with the concrete sleepers, SMD80, Wagons for small rail machines and rail hardware, box wagon for thermit welding material and machines; and ballast wagons.
  • Zero fatality.
  • 28.6% increase in production per day in 2023 (476 TBA/day) compared to the previous year 2022 (370 TBA/day). The 2nd highest TBA/day since the start-up of the plant in 2017. In the 2018 and 2019 (524 TBA/day), the plant was operated at 24hrs daily from Monday to Friday with new equipment but in 2023 we only work for 16hrs per day Monday to Friday.
  • Increase the average linear meter of track renewed per intervention of 12hrs from 638ml in January – June 2021 to 798ml in 2023. Improve by 25% from the past performance to present.
  • Implementation of OEE, MTBF and MTTR for the maintenance of the SMD80 track renewal train. Thereby improving the overall reliability of the equipment.

  • Decrease rail haulage unit cost of production from 3.028$/t in 2017 to 2.036$/t in 2020 (decreased by 32.7%).
  • Decrease vessel loading/shipment unit cost of production from 5.815$/t in 2017 to 3.248$/t in 2020 (decreased by 44.1%).
  • Improve train cycle time from average 34hrs to 32hrs in 2020 (decreased by 5.9%).
  • Improve train offloading rate from average of 8 wagon/hr to 14.6 wagon/hr in 2020 (increased by 82.5%).
  • Improve vessel loading rate from average of 730t/hr to 903t/hr in 2020 (increased by 23.7%).
